Upload to YouTube or Vimeo first
Grids doesn't store video files. Streaming platforms give you better quality and faster playback than hosting videos yourself.
Paste the link
Paste the video link into any block with a “Video” field (Immersive hero, Showreel, Works grid, Single video, Case study). The cover, title and aspect ratio are picked up automatically.
Change the cover
If you don't like the platform's thumbnail, upload your own under “Custom cover”. The player only loads after a visitor clicks the cover, which makes your site much faster.
Videos you don't want public
YouTube videos set to “Unlisted” and Vimeo private links play just the same when pasted in. To show them only to clients, add the “Password-protected pages” plugin.
TipVimeo is cleaner for showing work: it doesn't show other people's recommended videos when playback ends.
